CD 40209 is an assemblage of physical bodies that speak in different modes and are affected by their proximity to each other. As “analog” metronomes, contact microphones, photosensitive DIY synthesizer circuits, mini honeytone amps, lightbulbs, and strobe lights are rearranged and repositioned, they shape the feedback, resonance, and frequency response of the cumulative sonic network. Meanwhile, light pushes and pulls on sound-producing bodies and casts shadows into the physical performance space. The result is rhythmic audio-visual texture that is constantly teetering at the edge of stability and instability.
