SOLOS (2019-Present, Charlottesville, VA)

SOLOS is a quarterly, multi-disciplinary series of radical interpretations and re-compositions; a platform to present solo work from a new perspective with accountability to the original. The performer both is and is not the composer. While the specific concerts vary in theme, the common thread running through all performances is the challenge to radically and respectfully interpret another artist’s work.

SOLOS is curated by Alex Christie and Heather Mease and is funded in part by UVA Arts and the UVA Department of Music.
